Jeffrey Hamel serves as IDSS President and is responsible for the development, production and deployment of the firm’s advanced threat detection solutions. Prior to joining IDSS, Hamel was the Senior Vice President, Business Unit Manager for the Identity Solutions Business Unit of MorphoTrust USA (formerly L-1 Secure Credentialing Division and Digimarc). In that role, he had full P&L responsibility for the $200M business and was responsible for business and technology strategy and product delivery for the most secure credentialing solutions in domestic state, local and international markets. Hamel consistently met revenue and profit targets, as well as created a new modernization product line and business area, generating in excess of $40M in new contracts. Hamel previously served as Vice President of Engineering, successfully driving the development of core technology solution components, which now serve the basis for all MorphoTrust’s Identity Solution offerings. Prior to joining L-1, Hamel spent 5 years at RSA Security defining and building a new engineering organization to drive innovation into the RSA Authentication product line. During his tenure, he brought multiple new and innovative products to market to grow the authentication market. He holds multiple patents in the area of internet security from his work at RSA. Hamel also spent 17 years at Raytheon Company holding various positions in Engineering and Program Management including Sr. Manager, Program Management for Patriot Weapon Systems. In that role, he managed $500M in development and production contracts. Hamel holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Suffolk University.
